In 1934 Konrad Driftmeier founded the family business in Rietberg-Mastholte, Germany which is now considered to be the heart of the German furniture industry. The production of high quality bedroom furniture began with the support of only 10 workers. Due to a rising demand coupled with the growing production capacity our family business became one of the most reliable and leading manufacturers, as well as partners in its industry. Our company philosophy to produce bedroom furniture of the highest quality in rational series, to offer an extensive service and customer satisfaction was established from the early beginning.

After the sudden death of Konrad Driftmeier in 1968, his wife Anna and their son Heinz took over the management. Since 1969, Mr. Helmut Kempkensteffen has been Senior Manager of the Sales & Distribution Department.



Over the following years we invested heavily in technology and our premises to ensure the rapid growth of our company into one of the market leaders. Today Driftmeier occupies an area of 36.000 square meters and employs 200 people.
